Who we are
Transforming communities through superior recreational spaces
At Picerno-Giordano Construction, we’re more than just contractors or builders — we’re creators of happy outdoor memories. We started in 1974 as a small, family-run repair and remodeling company. In 1989, we volunteered to build a playground in Summit, New Jersey. Despite our lack of experience, we took on the challenge with just one truck, hand tools, and a part-time crew.
The popularity of that first playground led to a flood of inquiries, propelling us into the recreation industry. As our reputation grew, so did our company. We traveled throughout the United States, building playgrounds for the Army and Navy, and eventually settled into our current location with a beautiful office, four warehouses, and ample property for our equipment — and, of course, our family!
Over the past 50 years, we have weathered numerous challenges, including floods, Super Storm Sandy, and the COVID-19 pandemic. We have reinvested in our business with technology, machinery, training, and exceptional employees, and we look forward to growing and constructing many more outdoor spaces.

We approach prevention and recovery efforts holistically, addressing each individual’s, family’s and community’s needs at every age and every stage of life with evidence-based strategies that work. A combination of genetic, environmental, and developmental factors influences the risk for substance misuse and substance use disorder. We address those factors by identifying and enhancing existing strengths within the individual, family, school, and work settings.

ABOUT US
The Reverend Servio R. Moscoso Foundation was founded in 2021 as a nonprofit organization to honor and celebrate the next generation of community Latino leaders.
The scholarship is named after the late Reverend Servio R. Moscoso in honor of his memory and legacy as a dedicated servant to his community. It will provide exceptional students who have dedicated their time to bettering their community with the resources needed to complete a higher level of education.
